Your voice the cure I need by Sedinam

your voice, the cure I need
your voice, the cure I need
my dear,
since we walk the beach together,
with arms lock in each other’s arms,

your voice sound like the, sunbird and that of the afrikan grey

when your call arrives
with beeps on my phone,
I’m lying down with headache, by then

but once you say,
I join you at the beach,
first, I say,
ah I’ve headache,
what am I to do at the beach, with head-aching?

but babe,
I’m grateful, I came
once you touch me,
and my hand touch yours,
the ache in the head, begin to lessen

when my hand lock yours
I begin to sense sweetness,
I haven’t felt for a long time,

this isn’t even a night we’ve spent together

rather it’s your presence,
your touch,
your voice,
like the, sunbird and the afrikan grey,
that come singing,
nature’s songs
that help melt away the ache in me

your presence is the healer I lack
your voice is the cure I need
your touch is the medicine for the ache

since that day
anytime, the sunbird and afrikan grey come singing,
nature’s melodies,
perching on the mango tree,
I stop doing everything to listen, them sing
b’cos it reminds me of us lock in arms strolling at the beach with the sea only as our witness

wherever you may be,
If you receive this message,
remember, I yearn for
your presence again,
I yearn for your touch again
I yearn to hear your voice again

for nothing in the world,
can replace you, babe
I’m waiting, come,
come swiftly,
so we relive all again

for that’s the cure I lack, all along

babe,
come with your healing presence
come with your curing touch
come with your medicinal voice
for your voice, is all I need
