Omoyofunmi Segun Henry was born at Ode-lrele of lrele local government in Ondo State. He had his elementary education at Homaj Nur & pry. School, Ondo and Secondary education at MaryGold’s respectively which he completed in 2002.
After his Secondary education, he proceeded to Federal College of Agriculture, Akure (FECA) where he studied both Agricultural Technology and Agricultural Extension and Farm Management in his National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
In his quest to further his education, Omoyofunmi bagged his PGD(Post Graduate Diploma) in Agricultural Business Management at Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto during his one year Compulsory NYSC program.
Also In his thirst for University education, Omoyofunmi gained admission into the prestigious University of llorin where he bagged his B.Sc in Agricultural Extension and Community Development in 2017.
In spite his foray for knowledge acquisition and series of certificates, Omoyofunmi continued his search for more knowledge and he was admitted to University of Ibadan to study Agricultural Extension and Rural Development for his Masters programme and he graduated in year 2020.
He had already applied for his PhD Programme at the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
Omoyofunmi Segun has to his credit series of professional certificates both at home and abroad amongst which are; Leventis Foundation, Ondo State Agricultural Training School, Ido-Ani, Ose Local Government, You People University, United State of America, RSA Institute just to mention few. He is a life member of Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON).
Aside his academic pursuit for knowledge, Omoyofunmi also participated in politics right from his days at Higher Institutions.
During his ND days, he served as the chairman of All Hostels- Akindeko Hall, Deji Hall to name but few. He was also in-charge of allocation and maintenance of the aforementioned during his stint at the institution.
He also served as NAILGOS National President and also doubled as SUG President all while in Higher Institution.
Specifically, he was SUG President of Federal College of Agriculture, Akure (FECA) during Governor Olusegun Mimiko’s Administration in Ondo State and due to his prudency and smartness, he later became the Chairman of all SUG Presidents in Ondo State.
Migrating to global politics, Omoyofunmi Segun was overwhelmingly elected late 2017 as the Southwest NPOWER Coordinator in-charge of over 100,000 youths .The position he occupied till date.
He is also at present a board member representing Ondo South Senatorial District in the Federal Government Special Public Works programme. He is also at present the State Coordinator of Independent Monitors in-charge of National Social Investment Program (NSIP), Npower Program manager and others not mentioned.
Omoyofunmi Segun is honest, humble, frank and a disciplined young man. He is a lover of education, youth, justice, fairness, sincerity, morals and he is an easy going person.
Omoyofunmi Segun is a relentless fighter of human rights whose mantra in politics is: “Peoples first”
