
The Executive Chairman, Irele Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) Olusegun Ajimotokin has begun plans on upgrading the Olusegun Agagu Government field in Ode Irele to a model standard mini stadium.

Hon. Ajimotokin disclosed this during his assessment visit to the field earlier today alongside the Secretary to Irele Local Government, Mr Oladipupo Temenu and Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Okoroboh Rotimi Walliams.
The Honourable Chairman added that when the stadium is upgraded and put into use, residents of Irele Local Government and environs will have the opportunity to participate in public and privately sponsored sporting activities at the stadium.
Hon. Ajimotokin said that the vision of his Government is to enhance the
the social life of the people and promote sporting activities.
“Opening up every sectors of the local government so that the Youth will be fully engaged remains my top priority” he stated.
The Council Boss stated that
when the stadium is completed, it will accommodate standard football fields, tracks and fields, indoor games and recreational facilities which would encourage young men and women with the zeal to pursue careers in sports to be motivated by the environment thereby contributing significantly to society.
The Honourable Chairman assured that construction would commence in no distant times.
The Head of Local Government Administration in Irele Local Government, Mr Okoroboh Rotimi Williams extolled the chairman for his giant strides in moving the local government forward through a priority focus on rural, social and economic development.
Equally, the Director of Works, Engr. Ropo as well as his Community Development counterparts, Pastor JB Babalola lauded the Chairman for the idea adding that it will foster development in the local government.
The Director of General Services and Administration, Mr Adegboyega Adewuyi, Chairman, House Committee on Sports, Hon. Kayode Iwayemi, Chairman, House Committee on Works, Hon. Rotimi Aretolu, Chairman, House Committee on Education, Hon. Wokan Fasadeju, Director of Finance and Supplies, Mr Orisabinu Olumuyiwa, Director of Community Development, Pastor J B Orukotan and his Works counterparts, Engr. Aderopo, Director of Environmental Services, Mrs Opagini NULGE Chairman, Irele Local Government Chapter, Comrade Orimisan Temilola represented by the Secretary, Comrade Frederick Adewebi were all at the entourage of the chairman to the proposed mini stadium.
