Pastor Akerele gets Igbimo Iyun Worldwide Award as Royal Ambassadorial

Egbe Agbarijo Igbimo Ajodun Iyun Lagbaaye on Sunday 10th of January, 2020 honoured a prominent Ondo State indigene, Pastor G. Akerele for his numerous contributions to the development of humanity at large.

At the event held in Akure, the Ondo State capital, the convener of the group and the National President, Pastor Solomon Runsewe said the award was in recognition of Pastor Akerele’s selfless service to the people as well as his impact both on the home front and outside the shores of the state.

According to him, the organization which is at the forefront of promoting the rich cultural heritage of Yorubaland as one of its mandate, dentified and selected Pastor Akerele after a rigorous process of selection to become its Royal Ambassador worldwide.

While congratulating the awardee who is the first to be so honoured, Pastor Runsewe urged other well meaning Nigerians to take a cue from the exemplary life of Pastor Akerele to make the world a better place.

The highpoint of the event was the official presentation of Akinkanju Omoluabi Lagbaaye Award to Pastor Akerele amidst other cultural display.

In his remarks, the awardee, Pastor Akerele thanked the organizers for deeming it fit to honour him with such a rich homegrown award saying it will go a long way to spur him to do more.

Reacting to the award, the President of NCWS, Ondo State, Pastor Mrs. Aborode commended the organization for honouring Pastor Akerele saying it was well deserved.

The award ceremony which came as a surprise to Pastor Akerele was done to honour him as the family held a special Thanksgiving and reception to thank God to his faithfulness.
