Nigerian Outstanding Leadership Awards Announces Call for Nominations for 2026 Ondo State Icons

The Hero Magazine International has opened nominations for the 2026 Ondo State Outstanding Personalities of the Year as part of activities lined up for the 50th anniversary celebration of Ondo State.

The award initiative seeks to recognise indigenes of Ondo State who have distinguished themselves through excellence, leadership, and service to humanity.

According to the organisers, the honour is reserved for men and women whose work has made significant impact in governance, education, entrepreneurship, civil service, spiritual leadership, and other fields contributing to societal growth.

Only citizens of Ondo State with proven integrity and a record of community or national service will be considered. Persons with criminal records or questionable public image are not eligible.

The award ceremony is scheduled for February 8, 2026, at De Dome International Event Centre, Igbatoro Road, Akure. Major media partners expected to cover the event include NTA, AIT, Channels TV, The Nation, National Mirror, and other leading organisations.

The organisers described the recognition as an opportunity to celebrate individuals whose achievements have continued to uplift the image of the state and inspire younger generations. They added that nominations are now open to members of the public who wish to put forward deserving candidates.
