The Not Too Young To Rule movement has applauded the Distinguished Senator (Dr.) Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, for his unprecedented ₦100 million bursary support to 1,000 students across the Ondo South Senatorial District.
In a statement made available to Ikale Voice Newspaper and signed by the National Coordinator, Hon. Ogundairo Samuel, the youth-focused sociopolitical group described the gesture as a “seismic investment” in the future of young people in the region.
According to the statement, Senator Ibrahim’s disbursement—made on Saturday, 15th November 2025—goes beyond philanthropy and represents a strategic empowerment initiative aimed at liberating and strengthening the intellectual capabilities of the beneficiaries, now referred to as the JI Scholars.
The group noted that by removing financial constraints, the Senator has enabled 1,000 young people to focus fully on their academic pursuits, expand their knowledge base, and strive toward excellence.
“As an accomplished scholar of global repute, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim understands the transformative power of education,” the statement read. “He has not only provided financial relief but has equipped these students with the tools to build a better future for themselves, their communities, and the nation.”
The movement further described the initiative as a reflection of Senator Ibrahim’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the progress of his constituents in Ondo South.
“This historic act sets a gold standard for purposeful representation,” Hon. Ogundairo stated. “Today, one thousand JI Scholars are charting a new course for their lives. Tomorrow, a thousand leaders and innovators will emerge, all tracing their rise to this singular act of belief and support.”
The group concluded by saluting the Senator’s generosity and reaffirming its solidarity with his mission of impactful public service.
