Today makes it ten years since you left us, Professor Ebuntayo Peter Olafioye. You left behind a legacy of an amiable philosopher among human beings; memories and legacy we all cherish for life as you left to be with the Lord.
You were a Professor of quintessential honesty , discipline and Integrity . Your life and time were spent modelling us as you were more concerned with ensuring that you brought the best out of us .
You were a legend among mankind ; you have a larger than life image now than ever before and your legacy lives for ever in the mindset of your daughter Solape. and all of us who are members of your family as well members of the public whose paths crossed yours in your life time. Mere mention of your name has become a mark of excellence.
Late Prof. Olafioye, thank you for putting the family name etched in gold forever.

Sleep on in peace, Professor! Sleep on my big brother! I will forever be grateful to you for bringing out the best of of me. I am your baby boy trying and striving to walk in the rainbow you created for us.
Sleep on big brother….to live on in the mind of those who love you is not to die. Your death is just a passage from the earthly plain to a more comfortable Haven of glory .
In your life time, you sure made life a better abode for humanity and this and many more legacy of you we cherish everyday.
Professor. Ebuntayo. Peter. Olafioye, graduated from the University of Lagos. Had his PhD from Denver University. He is a Professor at San Diego State University, University of Ilorin, University of Calabar and Adekanle Ajasin at Akingba Akoko, Ondo State. He wrote more 23 books.
There is no doubt about the fact that you wore a mark of excellence like a badge on your chest in your life time and you were a Professor with a high honor whose honor was intact all through your life time. You were the best of mankind sir.
As a mark of your scholarly reputation, you were among the few that got nominated for Nobel Prize and you won many distinguished and reputable awards in Literature.
You bestrode the world like a colosus traveling to Yugoslavia , Vienna and many part of the universe as an iconic intellectual globe throter that you were.
And of course, Prof, your students whom you trained who have all become huge success in their respective discipline cherished your intellectualism . All you did touch turn golden, another legacy we shall remember you by.
The entire Olafioye family of Ikale land, Yoruba and Nigeria thank God for the blessing that you were and still are to us. We pray that may your type and kind return to our midst in multiple folds, amen.
Dear Prof, continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord your creator till we meet to part no more.
