Executives of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 10 wards and 10 leaders each from the wards of the party in Ondo East Local Government Area (LGA) of Ondo State propped up for the Deputy Director of Finance of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council in last general election and the leading aspirant in the forth-coming gubernatorial primaries of APC in the state, Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR.
The billionaire business magnate had continued his 203 wards tour by visiting 10 wards of the LGA’s in their respective communities on Feb. 21, 2024, where he empowered 370 grassroots politicians.
“I am here with a message of hope that never will your sweat for the party return with nothing as I will be your next governor.
“I have empowered 666 leaders in the 18 LGA’s of the state, as one of the richest man in Nigeria, I am doing this as a gratitude to you for given our father and mentor, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu highest percentage of votes in last general election and against future election in Ondo state.
“This is the 107 ward out of our team 203 wards tour in the state.
“l hold you on high esteem and I will bestow my governorship aspiration on you who are party structure not any group created by me within the party, that is why I spare time in my tight schedule to come and consult you in your respective wards and empower you before I obtain form, paste posters and erect billboards,” Ibrahim said.
Meanwhile, The Chairman of Aseyori in the state, Sen.Tayo Alasoadura who led political bigwigs in the state like Rt. Hon Bamidele Oleyelogun, the immediate past Speaker of House of Assembly of Ondo State, eight former members of House of Assembly, five former Commissioners and 18 former LGA chairmen in the state to welcome the 370 leaders of the local government in respect to their request to join Aseyori family.
Alasoadura, thanked people of Ondo East for their unrelenting support for progressive party since the party establishment in the state and disclosed that, Sen. Ibrahim is the only aspirant that possesses mental magnitude that can make Ondo excel as the governor.
Mr Ogunnfu Felix, a youth leader of ward 7 in Oboto village expressed his feeling in an interview with Aseyori media team.
“I started politics since 1999, this will be the first time that a governorship aspirant will come to our village to campaign and this will be the first time I am empowered with this huge amount of money.
“I can now boldly canvass my friends for the victory of our party in subsequent election in my ward because I can boldly say with this that dividends of politics can be enjoyed by people of rural area too, if we have a leader like Sen. Ibrahim, as governor of the state,” he said.
