Ondo 2024: Jimoh Ibrahim boosts APC chances of winning Akoko North West / North East bye election

Ahead of the bye-election that will take place in Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency of Ondo State by 3rd February, 2024, the leading aspirant in the forthcoming party primary of the All Progressives Congress, Distinguished Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, Ph.D (Cantab) CFR have taken an applaudable step to reconcile the aggrieved leaders in Ikare Akoko, a major town in the federal constituency.

Recalling that the House of Representatives seat of the Federal Constituency became vacant following the appointment of Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo as the Minister of Interior by President Bola Tinubu.
However, the conduct of the party primary was allegedly met with opposition from eight of the nine aspirants who participated in the election owing to allegations of irregularities and lack of transparency in the process.

The people’s choice in the 2024 Gubernatorial election, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim CFR while empowering all executives in all wards of Akoko North East and 10 leaders per ward to cushion the effects of the harsh economy, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu came into power with a lot of expectations and goodwill of which some have been met by the president and himself in Ondo South Senatorial District.

According to Jimoh Ibrahim, it will be unfair to allow ethnic chauvinism to shred the party into pieces affecting its progressive vision.
Senator Jimoh Ibrahim reminded them of how all leaders and members of APC in Ondo state worked hard for the party’s victory in last general election and made the state proud by giving President Bola Ahmad Tinubu the highest percentage of votes. He then urged them to vote for Ehindero massively on Saturday.

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim while addressing the leaders after the reconciliatory meeting disclosed his ambition to serve the people of Ondo State as their governor. In his words ” I have a creed to really serve the state; change and reform the state. It is not easy to have those changes implemented like instant coffee. If we don’t have a governor with the needed intellectual capabilities, who can see what others do not see when climbing ladder. We have to grow the state and face challenges by building industries that will provide employment for our youth”.
The Akoko North East is the third local governments of 203 wards tour of Aseyori Leekansi team. A tour where 481 leaders are substantially empowered from Akoko North East Local government.
