the visions,
that woke our mothers up
still remain,
unreachable
the visions,
that stirred our fathers up
still remain,
a distant one
their children
still stand at the crossroad,
unable to make out
which road to take,
to bring the visions home
children send out,
collective plea
for the prompts
that prompted you,
to prompt them, too
for the fire
that woke you up
to wake them, too
for the stirrings,
that stirred you up
to stir them, too
so children can proceed on
to take the path
that leads to the visions
to bring home, the visions
to cement, the deeds
you started
for which,
is now children’s turn
to leave something down
for those trailing, after them
