It was an occasion of glits, glamour and excitement today in Okitipupa Local Government as the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, CON fortified the traditional institution in the local government with the presentation of staff of office and instrument of appointment to two traditional rulers in their domain.
The communities that benefited from the magnanimity are Erekiti Luwoye and Irowa.
Ikale Voice can confirm that while HRM Oba Omoboboye Kowe was installed as the pioneer Olu of Erekiti Luwoye after a prolonged internal rancour which ended in praises, HRM Oba, Lt Col Matthew Akin Ijelu rtd was installed as pioneer Lurowa of Irowa kingdom.
The Governor was represented at the seperate events by the Commissioner for Urban and Physical Planning, Hon Amidu Takuro in Erekiti Luwoye, while he was represented in Irowa by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon Femi Agagu in Irowa.
Governor congratulated the Obas on their new traditional status, he charged them not to abuse their thrones through excessive use of traditional authority and influence.
The Chairman Okitipupa Local Government, Hon Igbekele Akinrinwa was the host at the two events and he described it as part of the achievements of his administration as it will remain indelible in the hearts of the people of the benefiting Communities.
The Chairman Boss was not there alone but with both the Executive and the Administrative arms of the council with the presence of Chief Ola Iwaeni, Vice Chairman, Chief Johnson Ikuejamuwa Secretary to local government, Mr Atibioke Adeoye HOLGA, the Director of General Services and Administration, Barr Erick Yanyangbini was represented by Mr Ekundayo Gbadura Deputy director Administration.
The two occasions witnessed the presence of notable personalities as guests which include the standard bearer of All Progressive Congress, APC in 2023 general elections for the position of House of Representatives in Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Prince Jimi Odimayo, Hon Chris Ayebusuwa, APC House of assembly candidate for Okitipupa 1 State Constituency.
