Traditional rulers across all towns in Ikaleland on Wednesday honoured billionaire business mogul and All Progressives Congress’ senatorial candidate for Ondo South for the 2023 general elections, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim CFR with royal visit on his new academic feat.
They visited him in his office at his university, University of Fortune, Igbotako, Ondo State, to congratulate him on the epoch-making feat.
Taking turn to eulogize Ibrahim, who is the first student to be awarded first-ever Doctor of Business degree by Cambridge University, United Kingdom on July 23, 2022, the monarchs reeled out different uncommon winning streaks of the billionaire.
They all expressed how they and their subjects hold Ibrahim in high esteem.
“We are proud of you and the way you are promoting Ikaleland across the world through your various endeavours.
“You have promoted our land more than any singular personality in our days.
“Becoming the first student to be awarded the first-ever Doctor of Business degree by Cambridge University in United Kingdom after it was established in 1209 is epochal and worth celebrating.
“That is why we decided to celebrate you today by paying you a visit in this your multimillion naira investment, University of Fortune, in Ikaleland. ”
The six prominent royal fathers in Ikaleland were led by the Chairman Council of Obas in Okitipupa Local Government Area, His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Obatuga Adetoye, the Jegun of Idepe, Okitipupa.
Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim (CFR) in honour of the royal father was in his doctorate ceremonial gown while welcoming them to his office.
In his response, he appreciated the monarchs for placing value on his contributions to the development and promotion of Ikaleland at global fora.
He said: “I indeed appreciate the honour you accorded me today with your visit and congratulatory messages.
“As a young boy, I have promised myself that I would do anything humanly possible to attain the heights where great people in the world hibernate.
” I give God the glory for granting me my heart’s desires even right from my young age
“It is an established fact that wherever I find myself, there Igbotako (Ikaleland) would be.
“My desire to further promote and develop our land made me decide to contest for the seat of Ondo South at the Senate in 2023.
” I will stop at nothing to ensure Ondo South is well represented and ensure federal presence in the district when I get to the Senate.
“As our royal fathers, I want to seize this opportunity to ask for your support in ensuring my victory in the 2023 general elections.”
