Victory Anchored in Appreciation: Hon. Mathew Oye Oyerinmade (MATO) Hails President Tinubu, Governor Aiyedatiwa, Prof. Yilwatda, Hon. Babatunde, APC Leaders and Members
Hon. Mathew Oye Oyerinmade, popularly known as MATO, has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Ile‑Oluji/Oke‑Igbo–Odigbo Federal Constituency, sweeping all 21 wards in a landslide triumph.
In his appreciation message, MATO expressed profound gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to strengthening democracy. He also thanked the APC National Working Committee (NWC) under the chairmanship of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for conducting a credible and transparent process, and paid glowing tribute to the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his fatherly role, political wisdom, and steadfast support.
He further specially appreciated the APC National Screening Committee for conducting a credible, transparent, and fair screening process, commending the committee members for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to upholding the integrity of the party’s internal democratic process.
MATO equally appreciated the Ondo State APC Chairman, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, for serving as a strong pillar of support. He noted that the chairman’s dedication, coordination, and commitment to party unity contributed immensely to the success of the primary election process.
The APC flag bearer appealed to all contestants and party stakeholders to unite and work together for the victory of the party in the forthcoming general election. He stressed that the primary election is over, and now is the time for reconciliation, unity, and collective efforts to ensure the success of the APC.
According to him, “This victory is not for me alone, but for every progressive‑minded person who believes in service, development, and genuine representation. I remain committed to the welfare of our people, and I will continue to work tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed in me.”
MATO also expressed gratitude to his family, appreciating his wife for her steadfast support and his children for their encouragement and inspiration throughout the journey. He noted that their love and strength gave him resilience to persevere.
Looking ahead, MATO promised to deliver impactful representation in the Green Chamber, pledging to champion development projects, empower youth and women, and ensure that the voice of Ile‑Oluji/Oke‑Igbo/Odigbo is heard loud and clear in national discourse. His closing words were simple yet powerful: “I thank everybody.”
