Ondo South Stakeholders, Wake Up: Today’s Political Decisions Will Become Tomorrow’s Legacy, Yoruba Rónú, Posterity Is Watching
Ondo South stands at a moment when political choices must be weighed with more than the calculations of today. Our capacity leaders and stakeholders from Ikale federal Constituency such as Gen. Olu Bajowa, Admiral Akin Aduwo,
Princess Oladunni Odu , Pst Femi Agagu , Senator( Amb) Jimoh Ibrahim, Pastor Segun Ayerin, Dr.(Mrs) Morenike Alaka ,
Hon Akinrinwa Igbelele, Hon Bode Ikulala, Hon Eddy Olafeso, Pastor Yele Omogunwa, Hon Shadrach Olowojuni, Hon Adewale Akintimehin, Pa V. O Igbasan, PA STEPHEN OJAN, CHIEF AJIBODUN ADEFUWA
, MR FELIX OYEKANMI
,MR AKINTO KUBEJI
, HON IBITAYO OKE, Dr Ayodele and others must remember that party colours will fade, offices will change hands, but the consequences of decisions taken now will remain. What is planted today is what posterity will harvest tomorrow.
Political loyalty has its place, but the future of a whole senatorial district should not become the price of temporary political calculations. Our leaders from Ileoluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo federal Constituency like Dr Omololu, Surveyor Niran Akinniyi, Hon Ojetayo, Chief Mrs Taiye Adeoyin , Alhaji Hon Akinromade, Dr Bolu Adeboye, Alhaji Oriade, HON WALE AKINTERINWA , HON OLORUNYOLEM JEROME , Hon. OGUNDINLEHIN ISAAC, MRS AKINNIRANYE FEBISOLA ,CHIEF MRS AKINMAYOWA LOBUN ( OBA OBIRIN ), Chief ODOKUN OJO, CHIEF DR ROTIMI WILSON ,HON MAYOWA AKINFOLARIN, HON MAGRET AKINSUROJU, HON AJANI OLADIPUPO, CHIEF CHARLES MEROYI , Hon Mrs Oladunni Ronke, Hon Adewinle, Hon Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju, Alhaji Shehu Agba
must look beyond today’s arrangement and ask what their decisions will mean for the next generation. A man who eats all his seed because he is hungry today may have nothing to plant tomorrow.
“Yoruba rónú” is therefore a call for deeper reflection for our Ilaje and Ese odo leaders like Asiwaju Ogunyemi, Dr Taiwo Malumi , Chief OLUSOLA Oke, Chief Benjamin Olomidegun , Hon. Damilola Danilux
, Dr FUNSO Esan, Dr Omotehinse, Hon Glory Okuntade, Bar Benson Enikuomehin, Ambassador OLUSOLA Iji, Bar Hon Sola Ebiseni , Hon kola Hugah, Hon Agboola Ajayi, Hon Pius Pejo, Hon Felix George, Chief Dabo Segun, Hon Olowopariija, Hon Bola Ajimuda, Hon ( Bar) Banji Okunomon
and other leaders whose voices carry weight must remember that history keeps its own account book. Party platforms may change, political friendships may come and go, but the people will remember those who stood firmly for the long-term interest of Ondo South.
Posterity will eventually ask what today’s leaders did when the future of the district was on the table and have an opportunity to leave behind a legacy bigger than party loyalty. The wise farmer does not burn his farm to prove loyalty to a temporary visitor; he protects the harvest because his children are coming. Ondo South must think beyond today, posterity is watching.
