This will be the second time Ondo South will get the opportunity to present one of its own as Governor of Ondo Sate since commencement of fourth republic in the Country.
For me, nobody has nursed the ambition to become governor of Ondo State better than Dr Jimoh Ibrahim CFR, PhD . In his preparation to become the first man in Sunshine state, he never worked against zoning in the spirit of equity, fairness and justice .
He advocates for every section of the state to have a sense of belonging. He is the real ” emi lo kan of Ondo State” . There is nothing bad if others can take their time and queue behind him in Ondo South Senatorial district.
Where were they in year 2003 ? When he ran for governorship election in the state under All Nigeria Peoples Party? Where were they year 2016? when Mimiko wanted to override other senatorial district. Let us leave history for Martyrs and face the matters of who can grant self-reliance state.
What is needed for Ondo State to excel is the ability of the leadership to think beyond the ordinary and think outside the box.
The leader must be able to stand up and see what the folks on the streets don’t see and take appropriate steps to arrive at a destination of prosperity.
It is clear as day, that Dr Jimoh Ibrahim CFR with his CV is the only icon in the Senatorial district with the right mental magnitude that can diversify our economy to be able to get our citizens engaged. We need to diversify our economy to be able to get our citizens engaged.
He will grow the state’s wealth, bring productivity to the table and make the sun shine brighter
