The dust over the recent endorsement of Dr Jimoh Ibrahim CFR, the leading Gubernatorial Aspirant of All Progressive Congress in Ondo State by notable politicians across three Senatorial District of the state is still generating ripples in the State, that many aspirants will consider stepping down for him, as party leaders and members alike propelled him to clinch APC ticket.
The Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District at the Red Chamber started his Gubernatorial Consultation tour from Ondo Central on 18th of December, 2023. The Senatorial District of the state where he enjoyed the favour of endorsement from most of the APC leaders in the district.
Since the endorsement of leaders like Senator Tayo Alasoadura, former Senator, former Minister of Niger Delta and former Ondo State Commissioner of Finance; Dr Adu Kubana; and Hon Mayokun Lawson – Alade, former MHR and others notable leaders, there have been reactions across the State that other APC aspirants from the state will still step down for him as they will not like to embark on a mission already won by the chosen and most qualified one. Senator Jimoh Ibrahim is an aspirant to beat other contestants in both the primary and state election with his innovative Strategy.
The reason for this radical support is predicated to be borne out from the quality and impactful representation of Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, Ph.D (Contab), OFR, CFR in the 10th Assembly to people of Ondo Sout and the willingness of people of Ondo State to elect a governor who can think outside the box.
Yes, the people desires the governor who can see what the masses can’t see even if they climb ladders and take appropriate steps to arrive at destination of prosperity as posited by our National Leader and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; “When a the people is nobler than the leader, disaster is sure but when the leader is nobler than the people, greatness is certain”.
