As the electorates in Ondo State prepare to go to the poll this year, they would have the choice to determine who rule the state for another four years by their votes. It is no more news that aspirants from the most popular political party in Africa, All Progressive Congress in the state from the Senatorial district that equity prescribes to produce the next governor of the state have started consultation and recruiting media soldiers to fly their ambition.
According to Prince Ebenezer Adeyinka in his opinion when he highlighted the qualities the next governor of the state has to possess. He said “We might, therefore, need a governor that is capable of possessing and embracing the bests of our four governors since 1999. Our next governor must be well-read and exposed like Agagu, must take the job seriously like a paid employee like Adefarati, must promote social service-driven development like Mimiko and must be honest and fearless with strong political will like Akeredolu”.
There is no doubt in this summit if people of Ondo State desire the next government to create the enabling environment that will give our people opportunity to exploit and enjoy resources that our great state is blessed with. This will remove the numerous barriers that have been erected in the path of growth and development that stifle the overall progress in the state.
Without doubt Socioeconomic transformation awaits Ondo State, if a man of multiple parts like Dr Jimoh Ibrahim PhD, CFR with intimidation records as a lawyer, an international tax experts, an Academician, an Administrator , an Economist, an owner of University, a business mogul in Oil and gas, banking and real estate apart from being the first man to be awarded Doctor of Business in University of Cambridge since year 1209, with nine degrees can be prioritized by the people of the state. He will use his knowledge and experience to provide more empirical solutions to the problems of the state.
