Leaders Must Stand Tall

In Nigeria there has never been a politician so dauntless and exhaustless like His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. Despite the antagonistic attitude and unbelief of the opposition to his policies, honest and sincere men continued in faith with him.

In whatever way the nation will regard him today there will be reference to history, to morality and to national unity.

He has brought along with him invaluable and inexhaustible mine of knowledge and virtue. He has brought together also veterans and patriotic men and women into the daily life of government.

Tinubu came in 2023 powerfully with his ‘Emilokan’ theory speaking with much drive and authority and in a manner Nigerians never heard before.

Sen. (Dr) Jimoh Ibrahim CFR, the engine room of the Tinubu government and an advocate for the Renewed Hope Agenda in one of his teachings to us his staffs said leaders must stand tall and stand alone.

He explained that in making impactful decision a leader must be steadfast, not looking back. And in 2023 when President Tinubu came to power and removed the fuel subsidy though he stood alone but he stood tall.

The opposition preyed on it, yet he stood tall. They gang up against him, he stood tall. Notwithstanding there sophistry and criticism he stood tall. What a great leader. Let us ask ourselves who could have paddled the turbulent canoe of Nigeria better in 2023 among the gladiators then; None.

Nigerians are greatful today as they know better. The opposition and critics that said crucify him yesterday are now decamping en mass from their capsized canoes to join his APC canoe to safety and gratefully shouting Hosanna today.

Miraculously Nigeria survived, (No more fuel queues, No more ASUU devastating strikes, No more sleeping in banking halls, No more salary arrears, our roads are getting better, refineries are working again. Things are getting better.

Above all the three arms of government are working in harmony in the trinity of separation of power the bulk walk upon which constitutional democracy rests. On this respect for the tripartite classification of power, President Bola Tinubu GCFR, one of the greatest sons of Nigeria and Commander In Chief will address today the joint session of the National Assembly.
