The Chairman of Irele Local Government, Hon Nicholas Oluwatobi Nicholas has today inaugurated a Technical Committee to understudy and review Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report prepared by the Federal Ministry of Environment, Abuja, on the Social and Environmental Impact of Bitumen exploration and exploitation in the local government and its environs.
The 9-man Technical committee members are as follows:
1) Sir Rufus Fanana (Industrialist)- Chairman.
2). Engr Akinwalere Akin Michael- Secretary
3). Barr Duro John Emoruwa (PhD and Legal Luminary) -member.
4). Dr Akinbiola Sehinde (PHD) -member.
5). Engr Raphael Ikujuni -member.
6). Chief Omogunwa Tola (Academist & Retiree) -member.
7). Mr. Aderemi Emoruwa – member.
8). – member.
9) Mr Olaoluwa Meshach- Member
The inauguration hold today, 9th of March, 2020, at the office of the Chairman at the local government secretariat, Irele.

The LG Chairman, appreciated the Traditional Ruler and all the industrious sons of Irele Local Government present for their commitments and their selfless services rendered so far to complete necessary documentations about the EIA report.
In the close remarks of HRM Oba Oyewunmi Zephaniah Abiodun( The Laragunsi of Iyansan ) appreciated all the committee members for their punctuality and selflessness. He also urged committee members to see the task as a Clarion call for the community service in the best interest of all and sundry.
