Dr. Olumuyiwa Daramola (DOD), the principal aspirant for Irele/Okitipupa Federal Constituency on the platform of APC, at Okitipupa Local Government’s Party Secretariat, in a meeting with the Local Government’s (party) executives, discloses that bringing in private investors remains the panacea to the high rate of unemployment in the constituency.
Promising to use his influence as a legislator to lobby private investors and establishments to the constituency, giving the huge variety and availability of farm produce, raw materials and mineral resources all round Ikale nation.
“We are blessed enough to be self reliant and sufficient; the bitumen in Irele is way more than what the whole of Spain makes huge wealth from, this amongst other resources around us waiting to be tapped maximally”; he said.
Stressing further; “our problem cannot be wholly put upon the government. It’s time we began to look for alternatives and chart a way out”. “Aside lobbying opportunities around government establishments, I’ll make it a duty to connect with private sectors in synergy with the state and every arm of government and institution to ease our plights.”
He therefore enjoined the party chairman and other executives to give him the mandate so the issue of youth unemployment with its attendant consequences on the youths and the society can be a thing of the past.
Consequently, the party chairman and other executives lauded his foresight and sense of direction, promising their total support.
