The Aare of Ikale Land and Chairman, Ikale Security Observer, Prof. (Dr.) Salewa Olafioye, has again stressed the need for a leader/citizenry collaboration for the overall development and security of the nation.
Prof. Olafioye made this known in a media chat with Ikale Voice on Saturday, pointing that Ikale Security Observer is set to host a collaborative meeting with all monarchs across Ikale land.
He said interactions such as the Ikale Home Security Summit, between Ikale Security Observer in collaboration with all Ikale royal fathers, Ikale World Congress USA, Egbe OmoIkale U.K and Ireland, Union of Ikale Indigenes (UOII), Irele Progressive Union (USA) and Ikale Association of Canada will hold at the residence of Gen. Olu Bajowa, Igbotako on Friday 17th September, 2021
According to him, “When we see and read efforts being made to ease security and the successes recorded, we see something that is missing; where is citizens and leaders’ engagement? Collaboration is essential and it is key.”
Ikale Security Observer reiterated that citizens must take a more active role in securing communities across the nation for people and business.
“We want to make our environment friendly for people and businesses, but go to our communities today, the security challenge has built fear into the citizens.
“We trust that our collaboration and summit will further compliment the efforts of government and will restore confidence in our country. This summit is a solution driven summit,” he said.
The Summit Guest Speaker, Chief (Barr.) Abayomi Akeremale C.P (RTD) is expected to address key issues with over twenty five Ikale monarchs expected at the event.
