The Ondo Southern Young Adults Vanguard has debunked the story on the social media that some All Progressive Congress APC leaders under the guise of party supremacy have endorsed both Jimi Odimayo and former Council Chairman, Hon. Albert Akintoye as the party’s candidates.
According to the group, “While we would not have dignified such baseless news with a response, however, we thought it worthy to dispel it for the sake of the unsuspecting members of the public who may not know the truth.
In a chat with our correspondent, the Chairman of the group, Comrade Igbekeleni Peters said that the news about such endorsement is fake and that the State Governor has stated the position of the party on the Irele / Okitipupa Federal constituency primary.
“Recall that His Excellency, Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, our amiable Mr. Talk and Do – Governor, in the last meeting held with the leaders, stakeholders, and aspirants made it clear, that all aspirants in Irele/Okitipupa Federal constituency should go to the field to test their popularity; it was also clearly stated at the screening committee that the six aspirants jostling for the party’s ticket were all cleared to go to the field, and there has been no any other meeting for the so called endorsement.”
“As far as we understand that the peddlers of the fake news are already fidgeting, seeking a way to cause confusion. The delegates know the truth”
The group enjoins the already determined delegates to disregard such fake news and cast their votes for their candidates.
