AKOKO NORTH EAST AGOG AS THE PEOPLE WELFARISM TRAIN OF SEN. DR JIMOH IBRAHIM CFR ARRIVED IN IKARE- THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT HEADQUARTERS
It was evident from the conception and since the inception of the Aseyori movement that at the very core of it mantra is the welfare of party faithfuls and ordinary citizens. It is the form of populist progressivism that has been missing in the workings of the ruling All Progressives Congress particularly in Ondo State that Sen. Dr Jimoh Ibrahim Cfr, the progenitor of the movement has sought to inject into the progressive political system.
It is often said that any ideology that fails to incorporate the masses as centre to it teachings will most likely be overrun by the same masses it carelessly neglects hence the centrality of the people to the Aseyori movement.
It was an early morning of sunshine with a little touch of harmattan in the rocky town as ‘ARABA’ and his glad tidings arrived. Draped in sober colored attire, he exuded simplicity and confidence as he interfaced with citizens and leaders of our great party.
The people were pleasantly surprised by his punctuality, the seamless organization of his team and the simplicity of his appearance. Most strikingly, I must confess, was him touring all the wards bearing cash gifts to party leaders. A feat the Aseyori team has promised to repeat in all the 203 wards in Ondo state same which has been achieved in 3 local governments as at today.
It was no surprise therefore the loud and tumultuous reception that greeted his arrival. The loud shout of Araba!!!, the appellation my Akoko people have grown to know the senator with dating back to the year 2003 when as a young man he contested for the highest office in the state, rented the air.
It was particularly pleasing to see that people understand and appreciate the prioritization of their welfare as THE RENEWED HOPE AGENDA of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu received a needed boost in the 13 wards of Akoko North East local Government.
These consultations and the attendant loud receptions point to the fact that the billionaire business mogul is popular across the state, widely accepted and he is the man for the job. If we must elect a people oriented government in Ondo state especially considering the economic down tune facing the world, we must find a man with the combination of compassion for the people and the economic knowhow to steer the ship of our state. Senator Dr Jimoh Ibrahim CFR fits the bill.
