SJI’s scorecard in less than two years in Senate: An Impactful and people – oriented representation

We appreciate God, the maker of heaven and the earth for the grace of a new month. This month of June is a special month because on 13 th of this month, the impactful and quality representation of Senator Representing Ondo South, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim will clock two years.

No doubt, the preceding 23 months were progressives. The welfare of people of Ondo South was his priority and his brilliant representation of Ondo South in 10 th Senate that is glaringly to everybody which even earned him Senate Committee chairman on interparliamentary world wide where he is granting Nigeria Senate topnotch representation.

In less than two years, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim has achieved these:

1. Federal College of Education, Igbekebo {Establishment} Bill.

2. Federal Polytechnic, Igbokoda, Ondo State {Establishment} Bill.

3. A bill for establishment of Federal College of Agriculture Araromi Obu Odigbo LG{Amendment} bill.

4. A bill for the establishment of Bitumen Development Commission (BDC) by the Federal Government.

5. Insurance Amendment Act of 2023.

6. Motion for urgent Federal Government attention for the good people of Ayetoro Community in Ondo South.

7. Facilitating the payment of#200Million by Niger Delta Development Commission ( NDDC) to the contractor handling the light project at Ode- Erinje.

8. Rehabilitation and maintenance of Okitipupa – Igbotako 25.9km road

9. Asphalt overlay from Igbotako roundabout to Big Soul Hotel.

10. Asphalt overlay and maintenance of 500Meters from Igbotako roundabout- Chief Paul Adeyekun house.

11. Road construction and asphalt overlay at idogun 36Meters and width of 7.5Meters

12. Installation of 410 solar lights for Ilutitun, Igbotako, Iju Oke,Iju – Odo, Oloto, Igodan- Lisa, Okitipupa, Erekiti – Luwoye, Araromi Obu , Abusoro and Agbetu.

13. Presentation of empowerment cheque 300,000 Naira (Bank Draft) per person to 150 persons (small scale business owners) from Ondo South Senatorial District.

14. Buying of 200 wheelchairs for the people living with disability.

15. Giving 200k each to 61 people who are living with disability.

16. In June, 2024. 200k each was giving to 50 youths to support their businesses.

17. In December, 2024. 50k was given to 200 youths.

18. In March 50 each was given to 250 women across Ondo South.

19. At present, 66 Solar powered boreholes are being sink across the 66 wards in Ondo South. Some have been delivered while some are in the process of drilling.

20. Donating hospital equipment worth 40 million to Okitipupa State specialist hospital.

21. Giving 500k each to 10 business women who lost their goods to the fire incident that happened in Okitipupa market in December 2024.

22. Payment of Jamb forms for over 1,000 Ondo south students.

25. Sponsored of 100 youth with extra allowance for public hearing of Nigerian Bitumen Development Commission bill
26. Distribution of two trailers of fertilizer to Ondo South Youth famers
27. Federal college of Nursing Irele ( establishment bill)
28. 500,000# donation to mother of triplets
29. Six trailers of rice distributed
30. Donation of 20 millions naira for construction of LCDAs buildings
31. Free Medical Outreach in Ondo South Senatorial District, held at University of Fortune, Igbotako on 29th May 2025.

Without doubt, less than two years achievements of Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR is not the end goal, it’s the momentum that will fuel next victory. People of Ondo South should be expecting more of quality, purposeful, resourceful and people – oriented representation. The projects that have direct stance on the lives of people of the Senatorial District like JAMB Center, 50 transformers, Akinfosile – Erekiti 18 Km road e.t.c will commence soon.
