A Niger-Delta Leader, Chief Bibopiri Ajupe, has appealed to All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State to cast their votes for a business mogul, Dr Jimoh Ibrahim, to realise his senatorial ambition.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ibrahim is running for senate on the platform of APC to represent Ondo South Senatorial District, comprising Okitipupa, Irele, Ilaje, Ese-Odo, Odigbo and Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo local governments.
Ajupe, also known as General Shoot-at-Sight, made the appeal on Thursday during Ibrahim’s visit to delegates in Ese-Odo council area, ahead of the May 27 senatorial primary election.
According to him, Ibrahim has the financial capacity, influence and connection to bring vast development to the senatorial district.
“Ibrahim is our brother; he has the financial capacity, influence and connection to bring vast development to Ondo South senatorial district.
“I appeal to delegates to cast their votes for Ibrahim to fly the party’s ticket because he has the credibility to represent us well at the senate,” he said.
Responding, Ibrahim solicited for the support of the delegates at the primaries, pledging that he would not disappoint them.
Ibrahim, Chairman of Nicon Insurance, also told the delegates that he would ensure that the district that had been in total darkness for almost two decades was fixed, while the constituents would be empowered to make them self-reliant.
“You need to support me for us to have an APC senator so that we can get the governorship ticket in our senatorial district in 2025,” he said.
NAN reports that Ibrahim also visited delegates in Irele Local Government Area to seek for their support and votes, ahead of the primary.
He assured the delegates that the votes that would cast for him would not be a waste, promising not to disappoint his constituents, if elected. (NAN)
