in the open fields,
when crowd teems
and ears stand on each head
like azavivi antenna,
which can pick the gait of an ant under mount afadjato
in the open fields,
when many eyes keep watch
and all eyes are widely open,
like an eagle, circling in the sky for a prey
in the open fields,
vakpo does well
and even receives praises
and walks away,
with countless accolades
b’cos in the open fields,
the outcome is there and then, for everyone to see
but everything changes
when the field changes
to a closed field and the backdoor comes
with the fate of vakpo,
it’s here,
everything gets mired
and vakpo is even lost
among the lot
and they can’t even find vakpo
though vakpo has,
all along been there
to whom, will vakpo go, with a grievance?

to find a way out,
to jump over this hurdle and even circumvent the closed field and the backdoor
