
The Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO) has been elected to the Executive Council of the Association of Educational Assessment in Africa. This election took place during the 40th Conference of the Association held in Cape Town, South Africa. The NECO Registrar, Wushishi, has been chosen as the West Africa Representative on the eight-member Executive Council, which includes members from various examination bodies across Africa.
The Association of Educational Assessment in Africa, established in 1982, aims to foster cooperation among examination and assessment bodies on the continent and to harmonize educational assessment. The theme for this year’s conference, held from August 19 to August 23, was “Reimaging Education Assessment in the Age Of Multiple Dimensions of Learning in a Global Society.”
The conference saw participation from over 21 active primary members, as well as other public and private institutions and organizations from around the world.
