The Billionaire Business Magnate cum Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District in The National Assembly and the toast of all in the forthcoming Ondo State Gubernatorial election on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) Distinguished Senator Jimoh Ibrahim Ph.D (Cantab), OFR, CFR has proved again the essence of knowledge in growing the state towards the attainment of sustainable development goals.
This, Ibrahim demonstrated on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the expansive BTO Hall in Akure as he trained over 1, 500 party leaders, supervisors and units’ managers chosen across the Six Local Government Areas across Ondo Central Senatorial District of Ondo State on the strategic importance of the Aseyori Movement and its attendant welfare packages and benefits for party members.
The entourage of the Gubernatorial Aspirant of the APC was greeted with warm reception, welcoming hands and in fact, went agog upon sighting the man that is leading by giving out of what he has to the people without prejudice.
According to the successful business tycoon and new generational politician, Jimoh Ibrahim who has been contesting since 2003 at the age of 34 pronouncedly with Chief Adebayo Adefarati of Alliance for Democracy (AD) and Dr. Olusegun Agagu of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) both of blessed memory which has made him the oldest contender for the number one seat in the state; “I have discovered overtime that party members are not enjoying the dividends of the party. Whoever that want to lead a sophisticated state like ours must first show capacity within the party. Not by political mouthing but a befitting welfare package for party leaders and members from the State to unit levels.”
“This strategic innovation has been experimented in my Senatorial District-Ondo South before the last election and it worked. The people were happy and they are still happy considering the fact that they are seeing quality and people oriented representation in the mandate given to me not even up to 6 months of my legislative foray into the National Assembly.
“In fact, “I have sponsored impeccable 8 Bills in my 6 months at the Senate particularly, the Bitumen Development Commission Bill which has undergone second reading and l am very sure that the 3rd reading will soon be passed and the President’s Assent obtained before l will vacate my seat to become the next Governor of Ondo State. I am particularly concerned on the need to unlock the over 46Billion Dollars economic potentials of the Bitumen reserves of Ondo State so as to resuscitate the economy of the State.”
Lecturing the trainees, he explained to them how the Aseyori temporary cards and forms will be filled across the Senatorial District with facilitators (managers) chosen across all the units in Ondo South for the proper registration of party members to be qualified for the Aseyori Welfare Benefits and Packages. The unit managers will be gainfully employed during the course of the registration with a well packaged salary.
It will be recalled that the people’s Senator, Araba as he’s fondly called by his admirers across our national divides did an empowerment for over 130 persons predominantly women and youth in Ondo South with a take home of #300, 000 to each beneficiary and another empowerment in the pipeline for 200 People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) in Ondo South coming up next month, he promised to replicate such gestures at the Central and even to Ondo North for the people to feel the impact of his government when elected come 2024.
