The Executive Chairman Ese-odo Local Government, Hon. (Mrs) Folawe Omowunmi Sipasi-Aluko has called on Igbobini and Irele youths to sheath -the-swords and embrace peace.

Hon. Folawe made this call in a press statement made available to Ikale Voice on Friday.
The Council Boss said, “I, Hon.(Mrs) Omowunmi Folawe Sipasi-Aluko urge the warring youths of Igbobini community in Ese-odo Local Government Area and the youth of Irele community in Irele local government area to please sheath -the-swords and embrace peace.”
“The on-going crisis between the two naighbouring communities is unwarranted in the face of the present situation in the environment.”
Hon. Folawe pointed that since the emergence of the crisis two days ago, the Leaders, the Chairmen, the Traditional Rulers from both local government have been working with the Security Agencies, in order to find lasting solutions and for everyone to bring normalcy to the various communities.
She said, “Irrespective of what might be the cause of the crisis, we are brothers and sisters to each other. We should embrace peace in order not to jeopardize the future of our enviable communities and the future generations.”
Earlier, she stressed that youths in the communities should forgive each other seeing that life without forgiveness will be governed by endless circle of resentment and retaliations.
She noted that as Christians and brothers, we should bear in mind the words of God in the book of Colossians 3: Vs13, “Forbearing one another , and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any; even as Christ forgive you, so also do ye.”
