Irele Council Boss amplifies Security outfits

As part of the commitment of his administration to improve the security apparatus of the entire Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Irele Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) Olusegun Ajimotokin today met with heads of security operatives in Irele Local Government to amplify the security outfits across the Local Government areas for a more guaranteed security of life and property of the good people of Irele Local Government.

Hon. Ajimotokin urged the heads of security agencies in the Local Government to be more vigilant and committed to effectively dealing with crimes and criminality in the entire Local Government.

He stressed the need for night patrol most especially to new sites across the Local Government areas noting that robbery cases are reported mainly in new sites.

In the Security and Intelligence Committee Meeting held today March 23, 2022, the following resolution was made:

* Teenagers roaming the street during school hours, in the night or found moving around in the party should immediately be arrested alongside their parents.

* Buying and selling of goods and services after 11:00 pm across Irele Local Government are hereby prohibited and culprits would be punishable by law.

Reacting, the DPO of Akotogbo, CSP Oketola Adewumi lauded the Chairman for his giant strides in roads transformation across the Local Government areas.
CSP Oketola stressed that grading of Akotogbo and Iju Osun township roads and linking of both communities has enabled the people to assess areas inaccessible in the past and has also created an alternative route for people as well the police in the area.

In the same vein, the DPO of Irele, SP Wole Ogodo commended Hon. Ajimotokin for his concerted efforts in curbing crimes and criminality in the Local Government, especially on his midnight to 3.30am patrol of town yesterday with other security operatives. He enjoined the former Lawmaker to keep the flag flying in putting in more efforts to fight the menace of insecurity across Irele Local Government.

The honourable Chairman urged the good people of Irele Local Government to cooperate, join hands with the Local Government authority to fight crimes and criminality in Irele Local Government.

Meanwhile, the Council Boss has resolved to soon visit the homes/parents of the teenagers that were captured in the raid to determine any form of rehabilitation for them.

In a separate story, a Non Governmental, non profit Organisation, Ikale Security Observer had donated Security Communications gadgets to Security Outfits across Ikale land.
